Model 32 - Level Meter for tank monitoring and control.
Use this versatile instrument to continuously measure, display, transmit and control liquid level in storage tanks or pumping stations.
Mount the non-contacting ultrasonic sensor above the liquid being measured and install the watertight Electronics enclosure nearby. Features a user-friendly keypad calibration system, two digital displays, an isolated 4-20mA output and 3 programmable control relays. Calibration is easy with the built-in 3 button keypad. The model 32 offers simple menu selection of measurement units (gallons, liters etc.), calculates volume in horizontal round tanks, or flow rate (and total) through any flume or weir. For hazardous locations, the ultrasonic sensor is rated Intrinsically Safe with an optional safety barrier. The standard PVC Sensor (optional Teflon) is rated for measurement ranges up to 32 ft/10 m, or use the optional PVC Sensor rated for 50 ft/15.6 m measurement range. Options include 3 additional control relays (6 total) and a built-in 50,000 point Data Logger.

PUMP STATIONS - Pump Level Controller
Pump Level Controller for Lift Stations and Wet Wells. Ideal for pump stations, wet wells and tank level control with a non-contacting ultrasonic sensor mounted above the liquid. The PSL Level Controller has 6 independently programmable control relays for pump or valve control, level alarms, dialers, temperature alarm and echo-loss alarm.
Mount the sensor in the tank or wet well and install the watertight electronics in the control room or any location within 500 ft / 150 m. Use the simple, built-in calibrator to set up measurement range and relay set points. Or use the software to calibrate from your PC by RS232 connection, or through modems over a regular phone line.
Relay/Pump run time data is stored automatically by the instrument. Retrieve reports directly through the PSL display, or through its RS232 output. The Remote software program displays a pump run time graph and will output data to a spreadsheet file or directly to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet with DDE.
For hazardous locations, the ultrasonic sensor is rated Intrinsically Safe with an optional safety barrier. The standard PVC Sensor (optional Teflon) is rated for measurement ranges up to 32 ft / 10 m, or use the optional PVC Sensor rated for 50 ft / 15.6 m measurement range.

Level Transmitter Model L25
L25 transmitter displays, controls and transmits level. Mount the non-contacting ultrasonic sensor at the top of your tank, and the compact, watertight electronics/display enclosure at a convenient location nearby. Operators can calibrate the L25 with its 2-button Keypad, without climbing the tank. Use the built-in relay for level control or alarm, the large 4-digit display for local indication, and the isolated 4-20mA output to to transmit level to a PLC.The standard ultrasonic Sensor measures liquid levels up to 32 ft. (10 m), and includes automatic temperature compensation. Choose the optional all-Teflon sensor for chemical compatibility, or one rated to 50 ft (15.6 m) range. All ultrasonic sensors are available with optional intrinsic safety for installation in hazardous rated locations. The L25 can also be ordered with gauge-type pressure sensors for special applications.

How It Works....
The ultrasonic sensors are mounted at the top of a tank or in a position above the liquid being measured. The sensor continuously transmits pulses of high frequency sound (typically 42 kHz) which travel away from the sensor, hit the surface of the liquid and return to the sensor.
The instrument electronics measure the time it takes from transmitted sound to return of the echo. With reference to the speed of sound in air, the exact distance of the liquid surface from the sensor can be calculated with high accuracy (±0.25% of maximum range).
Since the speed of sound is affected by air temperature, our ultrasonic level sensors include a built-in temperature sensor. Level/distance measurements are automatically temperature compensated throughout the operating temperature range of the sensor.
The sensor should be positioned so that it has an clear "view" of the liquid surface and away from ladders, pipes or other obstructions. we recommend 300 mm for every 3 m depth ( 1 ft. from the sidewall for every 10 ft. depth) . False echoes from agitators (sweeping under the sensor), turbulence and waves can be filtered and disregarded by the instrument.
