What system is AS-i?

The times when every single sensor, switch, pilot light etc., had to be individually wired, are now over. The Actuator-Sensor-interface (AS-i) sets new technical standards in system configuration and automation, such as economic advantages for project planning, commissioning and maintenance of equipment.

With the AS-i you only need one unscreened two wire cable to connect all your sensors and actuators with your controller, master, and PLC.
