Flow measuring of liquids is needed in many industries and in certain applications accurate flow measurement is crucial for various industries, from water treatment to oil and gas..
Flow measurement refers to the quantification of bulk fluid movement. It involves determining the rate at which a fluid, such as a liquid or gas, moves through a system or conduit.
Some common types of flow measurement devices are:
Obstruction Type (Differential Pressure or Variable Area): These flow meters create a constriction in the flow path, and the pressure drop across the constriction is related to the flow rate. Examples include orifice plates and venturi tubes.
Inferential (Turbine Type): Turbine flow meters use a rotating turbine placed in the flow stream. The rotational speed of the turbine is proportional to the flow rate.
Electromagnetic Flow meters: These meters measure the voltage generated when a conductive fluid passes through a magnetic field.
Positive-Displacement Flow meters: These accumulate a fixed volume of fluid and count the number of times the volume is filled to measure flow.
Fluid Dynamic (Vortex Shedding): Vortex flow meters detect the frequency of vortices shed by an obstruction in the flow path.
Ultrasonic Flow Meters: These use ultrasonic waves to measure flow velocity.
Mass Flow Meters (Coriolis Force): Coriolis flow meters measure mass flow directly by analyzing the fluid’s inertia.
Anemometers: These are used for air flow measurement.
Thermal Mass Flow meters: These measure flow based on the cooling effect of a fluid passing over a heated sensor.
Open-Channel Flow Measurement: Used for measuring flow in open channels (e.g., rivers, canals) using weirs or flumes.
Both gas and liquid flow can be measured in terms of volumetric flow rate (e.g., cubic meters per second) or mass flow rate (e.g., kilograms per second). The density of the material affects the relationship between these two measurements. Gas flow rates may also be expressed in terms of energy flow (e.g., gigajoules per hour) when considering energy content

Α batch controller that covers most fluid batching requirements that use one or two stage control valves. Variable Area Flow Meter
Description
The Variable Area Flow meter is an instrument for measuring the flow of liquids or gases in pipelines. It includes a vertical tube through which the fluid flows whose diameter increases from the bottom to the top and a float which can move vertically in the tube. As the flow increases this float moves to a higher position until its resistance to the fluid flow is balanced by the float’s buoyed weight in the fluid, a value which is constant and independent of the flow rate. The position of the float is a measure of the flow rate. The flow rate values can be read on a scale.

Operating Principle:
Turbine Flow Meters use the mechanical energy of the liquid to rotate a rotor in the flow stream. Fluid entering the meter first passes through an inlet flow straightener that reduces its turbulent flow pattern. As each turbine blade passes through the magnetic field generated by the meter's magnetic pickup, an AC voltage pulse is generated. These pulses provide an output frequency that is proportional to volumetric flow. The generated signal is converted into engineering units (liters, cubic meters, gallons etc.) on the local display where applicable. Optional accessory modules can be used to export the signal to other equipment.

Electromagnetic Flow Meter
The Electromagnetic flow meter is a velocity flow meter without moving parts, high accuracy and ideal for conductive fluids, mainly to measure the volume flow of water, waste water, sewage, beverage, slurry, the fluid temperature usually not more than 120℃, fluid’s conductivity not less than 5μS/cm.

Oval Gear Flow Meter
Operating Principle
Fluid enters inlet port and then passes through the metering chamber. Inside the chamber, fluid forces the internal gears to rotate before exiting through the outlet port. Each rotation of the gears displaces a specific volume of fluid. As the gears rotate, a magnet on each end of the gear passes a reed switch in the top mounted register’s circuit board.
