Liquids and gases play a considerable part in the results of quality control and operational safety e.g. coolant supply and ventilation systems, thus it is important to monitor that these media are in sufficient quantities, at the right time, at the right place.
The electronic flow sensors operate on the calorimetric principle. The sensors use the cooling effect of a flowing fluid to provide reliable flow rate detection of both liquids and gases over a very wide flow range. The amount of thermal energy that is removed from the tip determines the local flow rate.
They are available in various versions, such as a combination control monitor and sensor in a compact unit, a separate sensor and control set, an inexpensive compact design for air in ventilation system and many others. As these monitors have no moving parts they save maintenance costs.
