These are some of the questions which unfortunately can not be answered by many industries.

For plants where continuous monitoring of compressed air quality and consumption is unnecessary or not cost-effective, quick spot checks at critical points is necessary so that efficiency evaluation can be made as a starting point.

In plants where continuous monitoring exist, it is just as importat and necessary to do periodic spot checks to verify accuracy or sensor/instrument problem.
